@unrwa.usa: The demolition of UNRWA’s headquarters in East Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank by Israeli forces is an unprecedented and alarming assault on a United Nations facility protected under international law. Tuesday's escalation follows a January 12 raid in which Israeli forces stormed an UNRWA health centre in East Jerusalem and ordered it to close. Water and power supplies to UNRWA facilities—including health and education buildings—are also scheduled to be cut in the coming weeks. This is a direct result of legislation passed by the Israeli parliament in December, which stepped up existing anti-UNRWA laws adopted in 2024.
