I completely agree. And even if parents bought these insanely expensive toys for kids I bet the parents very very closely guard (or even begrudge) how these kids are playing them cuz they were so expensive they don't want the toys dirty or destroyed.

my mum kept most of her old toys from when she was a kid and those are the toys we were also raised with, i’ve saved some of mine as well my children will play with them too because of this exact reason 😭

Last year my husband bought me a Lego Hocus Pocus house for Christmas. This year he got me a Lego Jaws boat. I was looking around at Target to find just a regular box of Legos & they were nowhere to be found. They were all in boxes to make a specific design. A lot of the ones I saw were for children 4 years old +. So I think Legos turned in to something adults & children can both enjoy. We bought our daughter a Moana Lego set. We all sat down & built sets together as a family.

The brands are so dependent on the fact that parents will cave and spend crazy prices to please their children. Not only is this money hungry is just extremely sad for all those children whose parents can’t afford a cool toy.
