For adults: That Oxford is too big and or boxy on him. An Oxford shirt should be able to be rolled up at the sleeve to do anything, or pressed and tucked under a sport coat. You are correct on slim/skinny. Straight leg is the only answer. But proper inseam length is key. Golf polo and pants are okay in the south in the summer, but have fun with belt and shoe color to make them pop. Cotton>than plastic.

Just be conscious that the baggy clothes only really look good on very slender, fit men. For typical “dad bods”, you’ll have to pay attention to fit and proportions a bit more. Baggy and untucked will often look “sloppy” if you’re not fairly thin.

Hard pass on baggy. Well fitting is not skinny but isn’t oversized either. Wearing things of good fabric that fit well and are comfortable should be the only cardinal rule.
