You mean VV circuit with a filter or does the circuit have an oxygenator? It doesn’t sound like the circuit has a oxygenator. Sounds like a fancy CRRT. So, let’s all be clear here… No oxygenator in circuit, then it’s NOT ECMO.

I work in organ procurement, we do normothermal regional perfusion for abdominal organs for donation after cardiac death cases. It’s similar to ECMO. It’s been a huge came changer for recipients and liver usage!
