The mother and her bf got 12 yrs each. They kept the snake in and enclosure with just a comforter on top for a lid (unbelievable). The snake hadn't been fed in a month and was severely underweight/neglected, weighing only 13 lbs when they normally weigh around 150 lbs for its age. Grandma testified for the STATE because she repeatedly told them to secure the snake and even offered to buy and care for it to avoid all this happening.

I’m a believer in getting rid of all pets if you have children. It’s not worth putting your child in potentially dangerous situations. This was so avoidable if they just got rid of the damn snake when the baby was born.

people saying why would anyone own a snake are the same people who own a dog that can rip your face off in seconds. there’s more cases of deaths with pet dogs than there is with pet snakes.

There were signs and they ignored it that snake sized that baby up it’s no way they had that snake locked up the whole time they left him out and he was able to size that baby up to prepare for feeding smh
