I'm 16 years old , I had my first seizure at 4 years old and I started taking medicine at 6-12 ( before taking💊 I was doing a lot of seizure more than 30 min . then after two years I had another epileptic seizure. I'm taking keepra 500mg 2 times a day and I don't feel good I can't breathe, I have a severe headache Voluntary movements increased to between 10 and 20 per day, loss of appetite . I have juvenile myoclonic epilepsy and I think that people should be educated about it

I am 48 (know that’s old), but I was diagnosed with JME when I was 8. Know that’s early for a diagnosis of JME, but my seizures began as absence seizures, then changed. I had to navigate it growing up, going to high school and college knowing no one who had what I had, so please make more content! Love it! Living with it in your 20s is a huge deal ❤️

Hi so about 5ish years ago i started having these “jerks” in the morning time usually and i’ve been seeing videos about myoclonic seizures and jerks. One thing that’s happened to me is i’ve had moments where I do actually shake and not just a “jerk” they never last for more than about a minute, but today i’m going to the doctor for it. Just wanted to know if you’re okay and if there’s medication to help. Lowkey just scared myself

I have juvenile absent seizures I’m 21 abt to be 22 I used to have grand mal seizures I’m a year free from that and I’m so thankful that they went away but now I just go blank sometimes it’s kinda hard to focus on things in situations you can look it up but yea these kinds of epilepsy isn’t talked abt as much as grand mals

I got diagnosed nearly 2 years ago!! Still so scary, and still trying to accept it!! I still party, drink, drive, and get bad sleep. So obviously it triggers it, but if anyone on here feels as though they can’t, you definitely can, just all in moderation ❤️

I also have myclonic epilepsy and i absolutely think you should make more videos! There’s not a lot of education out there especially on the different “types” of seizures which leads them to be overlooked & downplayed.

I am about to be 16 and I have 4 different types of epilepsy. I was diagnosed when I was 12 and I have tried five or six medications now. I also have really bad memory issues and all the meds I’ve tried haven’t worked. And I’m always trying to educate myself on epilepsy and stuff so please educate us all!!!

I’m 24 & i started having symptoms at 8. It’s hard but it doesn’t stop life completely I just don’t drink or smoke and I have been fine so far . Just need to get the stress & staying up part down maybe I would be out of the hospital less 😂😂

I just got Diagnosed with JME in January!! I’ve had a lot during my stay at the EMU they recorded more than 2 seizures in only 2 days!!!
