@pawspalrescuewelfare: Luna was left behind when her family was evicted nearly six weeks ago. She spent a couple days in the house alone before the landlord found her and called Animal Control. Luckily, we were able to get in touch with her family. Desperate to keep Luna out of the shelter but forced to leave and unsure what to do, they left Luna and brought her food as they were able. I took Luna temporarily in hopes they would be reunited. The four kids range in age from 3-12 and they love Luna so much (almost as much as she loves them). I’m not entirely sure how things will shake out and I know there’s a chance I won’t hear from the family again. But sometimes doing community work means letting down boundaries to make choices simply based on a sliver of hope- sometimes things DO work out, sometimes there is a happy ending. We had a similar situation. For 2 months, he sought the guy who gave him up When we came across Chuck it, which was new to our pup, he became our dog right then. He adored chasing the ball and bringing it back. We played it with him almost every day for 12 years.
