paying 8,000 won and getting only kimchi is really bad service. usually you can ask for another dish if you can’t eat it, but I don’t think the lady would be happy since she ignored you

You have to say fish, not just seafood cause I think we can all agree that when we say seafood we think about crabs, octopus, shrimp, lobsters, etc. 🥲

I think in asia, fish are not considered as seafood. That’s why if u say u allergic to seafood,it’s mean u can’t eat crab,shrimp,etc

so i showed my husband who is korean... he says that type of place is opened mostly for construction workers. they dont get paid much, so they pay ₩8,000 and eat as much as they want, and its mostly homemade stuff like side dishes with rice and maybe fish/seafood. his aunt used to own a place like that.

Oh girl… so sorry about that. I was just told by my Korean husband that it’s the kind of place people go to just to fill their stomach—usually construction workers or drivers. It’s cheap, but you can’t really expect great taste. They don’t serve many main dishes. Sometimes the food is better, but it really depends. So it’s better to understand what kind of place it is before deciding to eat there.

To me, that’s just average Korean manners?? I mean, she isn’t particularly rude😭 This is the norm in Korea. I actually get super surprised when someone is nice in restaurants or cafés😆😆 it’s sad but that’s the reality 😭😭

댓글들에서 왜 생선이 해산물에 포함되지 않는다고 하는지 이해가 안되네요😅 한국인들도 생선 해산물에 포함시킵니다 ㅎㅎ.. 그리고 한가지 말씀드리자면 저런 식당은 맛을 기대하고 가는 곳이 아니에요 공사장에서 일하시는 분들, 택시기사분들 등등이 저렴한 가격으로 빠르게 식사하기 위해 가는 경우가 많아요 한국인들은 저런곳 맛을 기대하면서 가지는 않습니다... 그거랑 별개로 주인분이 조금 불친절하긴하네요 .. 원래 저런 성격이신거 같기도하고
