@newsnexussa: Scholar transport up in flames, pupils survived. Two pupils and their driver survived after the kombi they were traveling in, caught alight this morning in Vosloorus. City of Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) firefighters received a well alight vehicle fire call at 06H03, in Vosloorus Extension 7. Inyetsane Street is the exact point of an incident. On arrival, the vehicle was already engulfed in flames and fortunately, both children and the driver managed to get out of the vehicle with no injuries. It is alleged that the fire started due to mechanical/ electrical fault from the engine compartment. The two terrified children aged ten and six, both from one family and their driver, were given counseling on scene by firefighters, and their parents were also called immediately to the incident scene. Fire was extinguished though the vehicle is extensively damaged by blaze.
