My mom told me the same when I was 18, she convinced me to start studying Chinese and it was the best decision of my life. China has given me so much: a new language to communicate with the world, a new perspective of the world, 3 full scholarships to study Chinese and my masters, countless job opportunities and a tool to work teaching the language to other Spanish speakers. I will be forever grateful to my mom for putting that little idea in my head and pushing me forward every time I wanted to give up studying this beautiful amazing language 💗
