I’m so sorry you had to experience this. I feel the same about my dad: the day of my wedding, in front of many family members, my father point blank told me, “your husband is too good for you, I don’t know why he’s marrying you”. And since then has made many comments about how he doesn’t know why my husband married me or why he stays with me.
