I got one recently and noticed the instructions say to set the mat temp to 10 degrees warmer than you want the dough to be! I liked mine especially with my single window pane house haha

How long does your dough take to proof on the counter? I realize it will vary for me but mine is sticky typically. I want it to be like yours. :)

Nice! I've used my heating pad on low and ive used a "puppy warming mat", both work great... i like that you can set this to a specific temperature; i think it might work better!

I used a heating pad near to my dough so the heat radiates. I've accidently almost cooked my started once with it touching the jar.

I put towel under bowl on mat. Love it. Helps so much during the cold. If I do starter. I set it on towel and actually wrap towel around jar.

I just use my seedling heat mat… $15. I do feel like it gets the bottom too hot, so I sit it on a dish towel folded over a few times. Seems to do the trick. My kitchen stays COLD.
