But there’s more than meets the eye in these humble spaces. Besides the thickened walls in its design, even its location in our homes has been carefully considered, such that it remains practical in peacetime. There are even bomb shelters in the forms of MRT stations and community clubs scattered all around the island! As we pass by these spaces often, we’re rendered indifferent to their existence.
