Don’t you think that when you book an international flight on whatever airline you’re booking that maybe they should mention something about that for the passenger it would be very nice considering laws are constantly changing and or many people don’t know about that role I wouldn’t I didn’t know about that

Well technically when your traveling, your supposed to check your passport, visa, whatever country your going to rules and regulations for foreign travelers. So its kinda her responsibility to have checked that beforehand.

This is true, I use to do the passport applications and we always tried to make sure people know this ahead of time. One thing though, it’s through the US Department of State, not DoT. Your trip needs to begin and end within the six months for most countries. Most locations don’t do walk in they will need an appointment and you if you need one within two weeks of your trip you have to prove travel plans and hope they will work it out for you and it must beat the regions USDoS office not a post office or county office.

Getting a passport has been the most miserable process I have ever done. Trying to get it expedited would be a joke. They should have same day passports.
