As a Pakistani, who was born and raised in the United Kingdom, I have a fascination with Farsi, it’s a beautiful language and I would definitely like to learn it one day Insha’Allah. The Farsi language was also very important historically as it was the administrative and royal court language of the Mughal Empire, the predecessor state of Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. In some sense, a Pakistani learning it is almost like going back to their roots and carrying on this tradition and heritage. Farsi has also had a massive influence on Urdu, which is the official language of Pakistan, but what is interesting is that the Pakistan national anthem is entirely in Farsi which is an important homage to this historic legacy and a way to pay our respects to this beautiful language. 🇵🇰🫱🏼‍🫲🏻🇮🇷
