Girl! Idk how old you are but I’m 43, have 4 kids and a husband. It’s taken me a looooong time to develop my theory on this. I used to feel odd, weird about this, but I really think those of us with little friends have a strong sense of self. You know you. You don’t need validation, you’re not easily swayed. You may not really be a people pleaser. And none of those are bad things. Large friend groups may seem fun; but I find there usually filled with drama that I’m not into, and there’s a lot of interests at hand. I’ve been embraced this is just who I am: always have been. And there’s nothing wrong with that ♥

I crave friendships, but I’m in a place right now where I genuinely can’t prioritize them. Or maybe I choose not to because I’ve outgrown people around me. When I’m ready, I don’t plan on making random friends like I did in my early 20s. I want meaningful, value driven friendships l. Women with similar goals and aspirations and who can relate to me in terms of my lifestyle. Otherwise I’ll be forcing myself to be someone I’m not and I just can’t do that anymore, too draining.

Yes, I always say it’s better to have 4 quarters vs 100 pennies. I value my privacy and family. It’s not natural for me to be in big group settings. I understand some people need a bigger village but now in my 40s, I just learned to call people acquaintances, coworker, neighbor. Not everyone holds the friend title. That being said, I’m a helper to many but close to very few people. Fellow Virgo ✨ Love your videos.

Girl it’s so hard, I had to learn to detach from friendships because I’ve been betrayed so badly in the past and I’ve realized that as an adult, friends are very rare, most ppl have acquaintances even tho when I click with someone … they just aren’t that interested to deepen the connection !

What I’ve learned about friendships is you have to completely mold yourself into the specific person for it to work .. they bring a new person around you have to forcefully like them even when you don’t because then you become a problem and guess what sometimes people don’t value intimacy within a friendship like you do and so forth .. I’m big on exclusivity and loyalty and to be honest it’s tooooo much work at the end of the day . I think I’ve been more at peace now that I don’t have much friends .
