“But they thought they had a lock” the original songs were awful. Performed well, for sure, but the songs themselves were boring and literally did nothing but grind the story’s momentum to a halt. I’m glad the Oscars shut out the obvious Oscar-bait songs.

Wicked Act 2 has always been weaker than Act 1, and the movie isn't any different. Like...I get stans are disappointed, but breaking it into two movies was not the move.
