@kellysites: Replying to @maxxy as long as they know you don't support this regime, I've found people abroad just pity us #internationaltravel

Tino :

how bout just not discussing politics with strangers and enjoying your trip. i cant think of one time I went anywhere where someone asked me who I voted for.

mcgeekeller :

Weird, this has not been my experience. I traveled to Greece, Romania, and Italy last year. Politics rarely came up.

LVG :

I’m a flight attendant from Dallas Texas and I’m officially Canadian when I travel.

Bayleigh :

Telling everyone I’m Canadian when I travel next week 💁🏻‍♀️

Rose :

I say California because of this

Alberia Martinez :

Ugh. We’re going to Spain and Portugal in June, hopefully. I’m worried about this. 💙💙💙

Wendywanderstheworld :

My response is always ‘I am from New York’

Lindz 💕 :

I got so many “how are you guys doing…u okay” when I was in Italy and Israel lol

LWINFREY2 :

This is good to hear. My wife and I are going to London and Scotland next week. I can’t tell you how anxious I am now about how we will be treated.

Badriyah :

Last year when he took office and I traveled a month after to Italy. Everyone kept asking if I was ok 😩😩

CHer Scottsdale :

I feel like the Europeans treat me like a refugee when I’m visiting

Megan | Solo Traveler ✈️🌎 :

Ah same girl! I was in Spain last month and had the same experience.

Holly Holliday :

In Europe, I’m Californian first.

steph :

Good to know. I go to Lisbon in 3 months

missymcg13 :

I say "but don't hold it against me"

Aqueos :

I can technically travel on my secondary Italian passport but given I don't speak Italian...

Badcowboy :

I’m from just south of Canada

Elilly1 :

This has been my experience too!

SweetNSavory20 :

When I went to Mexico last year, I could not share what country I was visiting from because of who had just been inaugurated. Pure shame.

RDi :

My husband is Canadian, therefore WE are Canadian when we travel.

Yoshi :

I tell people I’m Canadian

eastlatraveler :

Same, same president order since I started traveling. I always say I’m from California and I’ve also never lied about saying I’m Canadian which was a popular piece of “advice” during the bush years. We have to represent while traveling 💙

Roel van der Lind308 :

shellCRNA :

I’m Canadian when I land in Europe

Spicy.keeks.DO :

The pity!!! lol it’s so real they worry for me
