@jaydenjjustice: give me some sleep training tips please.. I can’t stand to hear her cry 🥲 #sleeptraining #babysleep #momlifebelike #motherhoodunplugged #babytiktok
Try the “Dana Method” no crying it out needed! Our 6 month old was sleeping almost through the night 3 nights in! And putting herself to sleep within 2-4 minutes usually! (Look up Dana on TikTok!)

Sleep training is such a small moment of their childhood that they will not remember I promise lol

I hate to say it, but short-term discomfort for you is far better than long-term consequences for your child.
Avoiding a few minutes of your own psychological discomfort may feel compassionate in the moment, but it often comes at the cost of a child who never learns how to self-soothe or self-regulate.
This isn’t about being cold or neglectful — it’s about understanding that your need to feel okay right now should not outweigh your child’s need to develop essential coping skills for life.
I’m not talking about this author of this video specifically. I’m talking about the broader trend of parents who refuse to let their children experience any discomfort and then wonder why self-regulation never develops.

There is a reason it feels wrong. Always trust your gut. Babies need to be nurtured for proper brain development. Leaving them to cry it out is toxic stress and will forever change their brain wiring

To make you feel better… my mom sleep trained me and my 3 sisters. We all still talk to our mom daily and had the BEST childhood. No trauma here! And we all slept great for the rest of our lives! ❤️Sleep trained my own son now and I’m so glad I did. Better sleep makes us better moms!

Make your husband do it!! Wear headphones or distract yourself with a different task. It took us 2-3 difficult days of hearing him cry for 10ish minutes but in the grand scheme of things he now cries WAY less and falls asleep on his own almost instantly :))) so worth it!

These comments are exactly what makes parenthood so confusing!! “You’re permanently damaging their brain and emotional wiring by neglecting them when they cry” and then the next comment is “you’re permanently ruining them by not letting them learn to self regulate and sleep independently” !!!!!! Like please someone help

As someone who studied neuroscience and child development, and really focused on sleep training, if you truly want advice, my advice is don’t. The fact the top liked comment on here goes directly against all the evidence is alarming. Ultimately you have to do what is best for you, but definitely dig into research if you’re looking to make the best informed decision❤️some people falsely educate to make themselves feel better for a decision they made to let their child cry it out. Ultimately you truly have to do what is best for you, but there’s a reason your cortisol is high when your baby cries, I was the same way. Getting them to sleep can be so tough, but it does get better, and you can look back on that time and feel zero regret for your decision

We tried one night and she screamed it was awful I’m traumatized. Everyone talks about how if they are just “fussing” what to do but what about the screaming crying :(

There’s a reason it feels wrong, babies need our love and comfort and do not deserve to be crying it out alone. It’s been proven that it’s not okay!

I’m sorry to say this is absolutely doing attachment damage, they’re starting to ban it in other countries

Don’t, that’s it. We are wired to hold our babies when they cry for a reason!! They need us. They’re only little for so long.

Not just her childhood, the rest of her life will be affected by the damage from sleep training!!! There’s soooo much research proven on what it does to the brain & attachment!! Don’t do it 😭

We go in within a minute or two of actual crying every time and soothe him in the crib and if he’s just fussing/awake and calm we leave him and let him work it out. It’s worked wonders and no letting him cry. We get 9 hour stretches now

Did gentle sleep training (cry for intervals, never CIO) and my 2 year old is the happiest kid, very healthily attached to me and dad! Saved my sanity, truly. I’m a way better mom with sleep!

Don’t do it. It’s not worth it. Ur baby is only small this once. Sleep training does actual harm your baby’s nervous system. Your child needing you at night is not a problem

We have a nice little bedtime routine. We rock our girl and feed her to sleep. I’ve come to accept this IS our sleep method/training. ♥️

Tough with a purpose 🫶🏼 Taking Cara babies had a quote that stuck with me throughout sleep training - “She NEEDS you to be consistent while she’s learning a new skill, don’t fail her” and by night two she she sleeping so good! I was mind blown lol
