I have to disagree because isn't the whole purpose of this is to get more clientele, if you're giving the product to the same people who already get the product on a regular then who are you influencing?

I don’t think influencers should be able to go.. I’m sorry but I don’t because they already get free product all of the time. Literally daily…. Maybe influencers be at the booth of the affiliate they are with but I don’t think they should go to get even more product that they already get on the daily.

Ulta themselves said there was NOT going to be a queue. They should be held LEGALLY accountable and no, it’s not about the free product. It’s about this company wrongfully advertising their tickets.

Honestly there should be a day for influencers like day one and they can make all the videos and whatnot. Then the second day for the regular consumer and I wouldn’t even care if I just got like samples. Yeah full sized products is cool but the focus is to see 200+ brands and try things etc.

It should be for industry professionals and top paying customers. Influencers get those products for free anyways in most cases. That product could be life changing for a working makeup artist

Do it as a lottery system for platinum and diamond members. Send them links to purchase. Give them one day to purchase then cancel their link and choose another of they do not purchase within 24 hours.

I get influencers should go for marketing but isn’t that what the Ulta beauty collective is for? And influencers already get a bunch of free PR and now they’re gonna get even more. I’ve been a diamond member for years and so I’m disappointed to be treated like this by them 😔

I feel like the hype came organically from the videos posted on social media .. not necessarily pushed by Ulta. But in my opinion influencers get PR packages for free from brands all the time, the consumers who are actually spending the money at Ulta should be the ones attending the event

Idk, you can fit 70,000 people in a place BEFORE the booths are entered. The number lessens greatly after the rooms are filled. I’m not anyone special and I landed a ticket; it was just luck. Just like an exclusive shoe drop- sneaker heads know. Next year I most likely won’t get a ticket and someone else will. Silly that everyone is giving conspiracy theories over a store brand event. I’m super excited for this who got a ticket and hope others get tickets next time!

You're not allowed to resell the tickets because they limited only one per person and the name on the ticket purchase must match an identification at the event. They took care of that problem.

I worked as a manager for Ulta beauty and this was an event only for the GM's and the higher up a few years ago. We didn't even get to go. I also saw a man posting how he got tickets to sell the products !!! Like what !!! That shouldn't happen. And I live in Tampa and I was praying to go .. none of my friends from Orlando or Tampa were able to get a tickets either 🤷🏻♀️honestly free product is good but I wanted to network and learn about the products so I could create content. As a smaller influencer spending so much money on product adds up. But I believe God will open different doors up for me !!! Thank you for posting this.

Yes! It needs to be at least 5,000 people per day and a two day event. At minimum! With platinum and diamond members priority!

You had a lot of great points. Thank you for your perspective from going last year. And the alleged private invitation links for those region just didn’t sit well with me. I live close enough to OCC I was planning on walking. It never occurred to me that I didn’t even stand a chance. I just don’t want 4/16 to roll around and all I see are the same old faces parading around. I would have loved to go, swag bag or not! I wasn’t going for the free product. I wanted to meet people, connect and browse the brand booths…I’m so disappointed 😞

It’s because of the dates they picked and over half the convention center is hosting a huge cheer competition. Ultimately it was the worst planning on Ulta’s part. Why not choose a date that you can host and use the whole convention center? That place is already insanely packed with the cheer competition. So there will be no parking anywhere. What a mess!

I completely agree! I’m a diamond member and I spend sooooo much money in Ulta, but I’m sure they are definitely going to make so major changes for next year because this wasn’t a good look 😑

I spend so much money at Ulta. I also tried to get a ticket at 10:00 am…got 1 dot and stayed there for an hour, just to be told they are sold out. My progress never moved up.
