I do believe them that they hadnt seen all of the show and their reaction were genuine. However, their initial messages do reveal an underlying prejudice and possible disingenuousness.

Also don't trust Articles written by a guy who supported Ron DeSantis, Aka Cyd Z who identifies as a Gay Republican . I think if you watch the actual Empty Netters recaps, you can see how their opinions evolve into genuine appreciation for the show. I think that was also part of the beauty of watching them watch the show. That this love story is so powerful, it can have such a positive impact.
