Your emotions are all normal, get you a counselor. I ended up getting one after my amputation and now I absolutely love going…. Also find other amputees to talk to….i am here anytime if you want my phone number to talk on the phone just let me know you are welcome to call anytime. You will realize that it’s not as scary as it seems right now, I promise.🥰 stay strong and true to you!

Allow all of the emotions. You know your body and what is best. I’m an amputee and when you get accustomed to your new capabilities others truly don’t judge. You will still be “you”. I’m here if you need a shoulder. You are beautiful and will remain beautiful 🥰

hang in there. I had 15 surgeries and was always in pain. to wake up pain free was best feeling in the world. it gets better. pray about it . going on a year and I'm almost running. it's been 25 years since I've ran. stay strong 💪

I was on a boot or cast for years before my amputation. All of those feelings are valid. I'm going through my second amputation and I feel those things when I'm going out to a place for the first time. The positive outweighs through negative and it gets easier each day that goes by. I personally like to celebrate the things that I accomplish even if is something as simple as getting gas or going for a haircut. You got this.

It is very scary. My surgery was Sept 29th for my elected amputation and I’m still scared. I hated the scooter and boot because it drew attention to me. It’s weird how afterwards I don’t care who sees me with a stump. I’m with you!
