You know what’s sad, when you’re little and learn it’s happened to other girls, then you become a teen almost desensitized “me too I’m sorry that happened to you” is a common conversation. Then you get a little old and realize it happens multiple times to women. Then you realize you will never outgrow the age of SA. Now it’s more like “when is the next time”

We are essentially told it's a part of being a girl and womanhood...I can't even count how many times...ESPECIALLY as a teenager! It was way worse when I was underage with older men. It's absolutely disgusting.

I think this is a opportunity for us to show the right and everyone else that its ok to say when someone's wrong even when theyre "on our side" you shouldnt allow unhealthy or unsafe people in your groups or circle if that's not what you represent

it's always a big deal but society always minimizes it. Always. And most of question ourselves and then never come forward.

I want to hug you through my phone. It's true, after multiple incidences, depending on the justice you get or don't get, it alters your brain in the worst way. You put into words juts now, what I've been trying to do for over a decades. I love that you speak up!!

It’s sad how many females have had these things happen and so many times. Society sucks.

Hugs to you. 💜 I hate hearing these stories, but yet all too many of us have them and haven't said anything. Thank you for sharing, because the more we share, hopefully the less it happens.

I love your hat.
And when I watched Mandy's video, and she started talking about how she wished she had made a scene, I couldn't relate more. I felt for her so much. I'm still trying to learn to make a scene. When the situation is over I think of what I should've done. I think I will do better next time. It's been too many times. I have failed so many times still. There's a fear, freeze response that I can't fully explain. A "I can't make this moment bad for him or the people around us" but I'll continue to try to conquer. Conversations like this help move in the correct direction.

I have a GF that was SA’d over a year ago, her life turned upside down, the gravity of her situation was not only limited to the psychological impact alone but also how the society is so nonchalant when a female being assaulted and how easy for a male to get away with it just by claiming it was consensual.

It took me a long time to call a guy’s butt grab SA because I just kept telling myself it wasn’t that bad. It wasn’t 🍇, it wasn’t between my legs. But the intent was the same. I’d rejected/didn’t react the way he wanted and he groped me as punishment.
