Every time something goes wrong or I’m goin through something. The call of the void is so strong that I drive two/three hours to the ocean right when I feel it and sit there until dark. Then drive home. The itch doesn’t go away until I’m there.

Call of the void is not being drawn to wide open empty spaces. Everyone in the comments is misunderstanding. It’s the urge to swerve into oncoming traffic suddenly or jump when you’re near the edge of a cliff even though you don’t actually want to end things. The reason why the phenomenon occurs is unknown.

I used to sit on top of the parking structure, feet dangling on the edge and just watched. That was until a group of boys thought I was gonna jump lmao. I ain’t ever seen a group of teenage boys be so gentle and kind tho

I tried to explain it to my bf just now. It’s not like I want to go home, or even have that homesick feeling. It’s a complete disconnect. I feel like I’m looking for my root. Why am I here, not in the sense of what am I here to do. But how did I get here why what led to this to happen. And eventually what went wrong along the way? I feel often the only way I can truly be myself and successful is in isolation. Without an audience. Without judgement. Sorry confusing

I am autistic and I started running away when I was 14 I would go states away.. I would just take off . I am 28 now and at night sometimes I can’t sleep I feel called to go into the woods and mountains of Canada and sit there alone to watch the sky.
