Part time realtor here and you can’t bucket it so black and white. I make three figures in a “side hustle” of real estate and three figures in a corporate job that gives me stability and health benefits. And I know more, learn more, and work harder that most full time agents run into. Are there part time agents who do it the wrong way? Yes but it’s not fair to call out all of us.

Wrong.. I’m a part time agent and I’ve closed 10 deals this year. I got my license in December. I’ve never paid for a lead & I do all my own paperwork and marketing. I think it’s about the work you put in.

21 years and I can promise you that it’s never been easy. I can also promise you that we are coming into the best market we will see in decades. So yes if you’re just a regular agent who 70% didn’t sell anything in the last year yeah you should get out now.

Great points but don’t agree with the FT comparison because your experience going FT was during a PEAK of home sales so naturally your timing was part of that success. If we need patience, time etc in this current market and things are slower to close than working FT for free for months is unrealistic. If you’re intentional, organized and strategic you can be successful. What success looks like to you vs someone else also plays a part.

According to NAR there was an article put outthat said approximately 70% of agents sold 0 homes in 2024 or 2025. Can’t remember which year. I’ll try to find the article.

Yes , the security guard at my moms condo it a real estate agent , my friend sells cars and he’s also a real estate agent , the lady that cuts my hair is a real estate agent, what happened to full time agents I think unfortunately they can’t do to so many agents in the GTA 😱
