immediately caught as soon as you mentioned recent illness. retired RN (7 years) 30 year career, 19 of that advice. I had one patient with this as a new grad on med surg floor. I recieved him from ICU, within a few hours, I had to urgently send him back to ICU with rapid progression to be immediately reintubated.

I caught on to Gbs as soon as you mentioned weakness with lower body paresthesia then the LP confirmed it this was a good one

I’m a nurse at the VA and I take care of patients where I do the therapeutic phlebotomy it’s a side job I do preop and postop. Normally I didn’t look at the comments. I just just listen to what you were saying and I knew it just because my patient is telling me that almost the same exact situation except for it was more in his upper body and his face, but it was also lower body. One doctor was able to immediately catch it and started him on IVIG but it took a long time for it to clear up even with antivirals during the time he was in the symptoms. He was hallucinating and he thought the ceiling tiles had spiders, but it all cleared up and he was fine ever since what caused it was he received the MMR vaccinations when it first became a combo, which triggered it
