Where exactly does this happen? I’ve been on this planet for 50 years in New England never seen a tree blow up. I have seen them cracked due to the cold. Is this like a northern Canada Siberia where it gets to like 90 below

I am 54. This is the first time I've ever heard of this! I live in New England. We have plenty of maple trees. I've never experienced this!

I grew up in South Dakota and saw 40-50 below zero many times never saw a tress explode. The roots are buried deep in the soil which is warmer and keeps the sap moving.
