Do schools always have a defibrillator? I’m confused how it got there so quickly. That is incredible.

Ummm the coach who started CPR did it correct. You start CPR until the defibrillator arrives.

No pulse, no breathing? Absolutely start CPR immediately and don’t stop until EMS gets there or a defibrillator is placed

The amount of teens having heart issues is not normal. We have to realize that. I’m so grateful she is ok!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

FYI- if you’re in full cardiac arrest, the defibrillator won’t help. She most likely had an abnormal arrhythmia.

As a father, watching these adults and administrators working together to save this precious life is downright amazing. You are all rockstars and hero’s! I was tearing up listening to the admin with the compassion in her voice. I can’t thank you all enough for the miracle you created that day. 👏👏👏

Idk what this guy is talking about. This is the correct procedure in school settings. Someone starts CPR, someone grabs the AED and brings it to the MERT location. Follow commands of AED until paramedics arrive.

Cardiac arrest is not a heart attack. A heart attack is a circulation problem. Cardiac arrest is where the heart suddenly stops.

My nephew died of a heart attack at age 15 running on a treadmill. Later found out he had Cardiomyopathy. Our Family had our hearts checked out and found 13 of us had an enlarged heart. Out of his death brought us life because we caught it. I’m so glad this young woman lived through this.

How is there no federal law that an ambulance needs to be at every high school sporting event? I don't care how many ambulances and EMTs it will take or how much money it will cost. Keeping kids safe should be by far the most important thing.
