I have had to help 3 babies cross and it kills me every time! This last time just absolutely broke me though. She was my smallest and my oldest and I got to hold her in my arms as she left me and it still breaks me all over again when I let myself think about it. I miss her little snuffles and her following me everywhere I went. She was my sweet little shadow.

I totally agree. I have done it 2 times and it broke my heart. Yet the unconditional love they gave made me want to be holding them when they crossed the rainbow bridge. It was my honor to be their for them

I agree 💯! My boy crossed 5 days ago. I held him while they did what needed to be done. It’s the worst feeling ever. I am sorry for the loss of your fur baby. Hugs to you during this time. ❤

Indeed it hurts. It’s a heavy decision we are often left to make but we make it out of love. Each of our last two babies have passed here in our home surrounded by my family (two and four-legged). Their last breath was taken in our laps. May the Rainbow Bridge be real. Peace to all whose heart ache. The depth of that pain is symbolic of the depth of your love.
