@monkikids: Our Mission: Saving Lives & The Future of Coexistence 🐒✨ At Monkey Entertainment, we protect Japanese macaques who were destined for culling. We have chosen to walk alongside them as family. Here is the reality behind our mission: 1️⃣ Saving Lives from Culling The monkeys in our care were labeled as "pests" and marked for termination by authorities. We never capture wild monkeys for entertainment. Our mission starts by saving lives that were about to be lost. 2️⃣ Training as a Path to Self-Reliance Training provides essential mental stimulation for these intelligent animals. The revenue generated from performances is directly reinvested into their food, advanced medical care, and housing. It is their way of "working" to sustain their own lives within human society. 3️⃣ Respecting Individuality We never force a monkey to do something they cannot do. We adapt to each individual’s personality. If they aren’t suited for performing, they still stay with us as family for the rest of their lives. 4️⃣ Why We Do Not "Return Them to the Wild" Releasing a monkey marked for culling often leads to a tragic end—either being shot again for returning to human areas or being rejected by wild troops. We choose a "responsible life" over a "death sentence in the wild." 5️⃣ A Bond Built on Trust The fact that we offer the only close interaction in Japan is proof of our bond. They open their hearts because they are raised with love. ⚠️ Important Legal Notice in Japan Unlike in some other countries, Japanese law strictly mandates that captive Japanese macaques must wear collars and be kept in secure enclosures (cages) for safety and management. We strictly follow these regulations to ensure the safety of both the monkeys and the public. We will continue to protect these lives, undeterred by criticism.
