@imbluethesiberiann: It breaks my heart to know he’s been in so much pain, but even though there’s a long road ahead, it’s about improving his quality of life. We’ve seen several doctors and they’ve all said he’s in significant pain when examining him and he’s already lost a ton of muscle in his back right leg from not wanting to put any pressure on it. We’ll take you all on this journey with us and if you’ve been through it before, any advice is helpful for recovery. #dogsoftiktok #dogsoftiktokviral #husky #huskies #dogs
That is why Titan is with you, Cory and the crew. He will get his best life with you! ❤️

We had to do double hip replacement due to hip dysplasia and it's so worth it! She's just recovered from her second surgery and is 6 now. Her quality of life is significantly better and no longer slow to get up and no more limping. Hard to imagine how much pain she was in and was really good at hiding it. Now she seems like a puppy again zooming in our backyard. The hardest part was keeping her from our rambunctious puppy during recovery. Dogs are so resilient and you're doing the best for him. <3

Surgery of any kind (and rehab) is hard but worth it. At 2, our Gina ruptured both her ACL/CCL’s (one after the other). You want them to have the best quality of life. We made a ramp for getting in and out of the house so she did not have to do steps (and the vet said no steps) but he encouraged movement. Hardest part though was trying to keep her calm when she was starting to feel better but was not allowed off leash and she wanted to play. We had some

Dogs are masters at disguising pain, as you know. Give yourself grace. Now that you know he’s hurting, you’re doing everything you can to help him.

Best of luck for Titan, hope he has a speedy recovery. My 18month old border collie x bernese mountain dog has had one hip replaced and is now waiting to get her other one done. The recovery is hard but seeing them happy and free to play afterwards so so worth it. One thing that definitely helped with my girls was putting down a number of non-slip mats so she wouldn't slip on the hard floor. Best of luck

It’s hard when they’re not overt about the pain but don’t feel guilty you didn’t know cos you’re doing the most now. 💙 And for recovery don’t feel bad if he you need to give him anything to stay calm because that’s half the battle

We did surgery for my Rotts Bi-lateral elbow dysplasia. He did great the first two weeks then weeks 2-4 were harder. We kept our dog very sedated and crated for most of his 6 week recovery as he is very very active. We are now at week 12 and he is taking 2-3 10 minute walks per day, no limping! It is hard and keeping him sedated was something we really didn't want to do but ended up helping him so much! Good luck, you guys have this!
