I 100% believe that they changed their mind on the show but I don’t think he ever apologised for how he expressed his initial opinion in those text msgs. Tbh I don’t see how either Hudson or Connor could be the guests on the show after this. The comment about it being a Canadian show…. Like duuude. Apologise

I do think it’s important for people to have the space and grace to have their perspective changed, but that still does not excuse what was said, the sentiment, and the language used. Both can be true and people have the right to feel betrayed, and people have the right to forgive / let it go (or not).

I still don't think this is an apology considering he was talking sh*t about the show without even doing minimal research on it. It was NOT marketed as a hockey show- it is a romance based in the hockey world based on a best selling novel/ series. That's great he ended up liking the show but it doesn't negate the fact that he was so hostile towards it just because he was upset his show about hockey hasn't been green lit

They didn’t address what Dan said in those texts, so everything else is irrelevant. I’m glad they liked the show, but they need to actually learn how to apologize for the right things and learn from their hurtful behavior.

The things they said are bad, they should make a proper apology. I don’t think they are faking their love for the show though, and I don’t think they’re grifters, and the attempt of the article to paint them as such makes it seem like a hit piece.

It sounds like the other podcaster was jealous at how much engagement they got from the show. Also if I had put my opinions of the show in writing after the first 10 minutes it would have been a similar take.

My opinion definitely changed when I watched the show. I went into it thinking it was just going to be about the sex scenes bc of stuff I heard, then I absolutely fell in love with their love story.

The problem is he didn’t apologize or talk about maybe his views has changed. Just that he was sorry the texts were leaked and the timing of them. If he addressed how this made him rethink talking like he did in those texts maybe it would look better, maybe he’s not there yet… but still seems like the reactions were opportunistic and inauthentic support now.
