Yes. My oldest son is getting married in May, and since he got engaged it’s like I don’t exist for him. I understand and encourage them to be a unit, but I never thought I’d be completely left behind. It hurts a lot.

It just depends on how the mother of the son is as a mother in law. I LOVE my husbands family just as much as I love mine. But they treat me like I belong there and not like I stole their son lol
