This happened to me. I actually hemorrhaged and almost lost my life leaving two babies and my husband. My parents and family wouldn’t even help me with recovery after the severe blood loss and newborn bc they were mad “I didn’t invite them to the birth”

lol my FIL got mad we didn’t tell him i was in labor take in mind he never once asked how i was doing while pregnant and still hasn’t met baby (5m)

Last time I said I wanted this and no visitors in the hospital and then I was pressured into letting them know AND seeing them before I was home. This time I want to hold firm and have the birth I want.

Mil told me I was selfish for not having visitors come to the hospital after I had my first…. Full of stitches, bleeding everywhere, and adjusting to being a new mother. Heaven forbid I protect my peace 😒

We need to respect everyone it put kid if we need a little space like for example I will not let my kid come out right now because he's only two months and it is flu season and everybody wants to see him. I'm not risking it. He's so precious and adorable and some people need to understand boundaries

Me personally, I had one person with me. My grandma. NOBODY DARED TO GO AGAINST HER😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. I had such a peaceful post partum recovery.

definitely the right choice. My dad showed up immediately even though I told him that's not how labour works. And then he had the AUDACITY to try to RUSH ME THROUGH LABOUR. Literally called me 2 hours later complaining about how long it was taking 🙄

My mom wrote me PARAGRAPHS about how hurtful it was that I didn't want her there during the birth. A scheduled c section. How she needed to be there "To make sure the baby was okay and that I made it our of surgery " I'm like... WHAT in the world makes you think that you'll have ANYTHING to do with that in a literal hospital?? You'd be sitting in the waiting room. We ended up going in two days early and I didn't tell her until I was ready for her to visit.

I remember finding out we were pregnant at like 3 weeks and we waited till 6 weeks to tell my mother in law and she said “why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

I told my family I didn't want anyone I. the room with my second and had a whole week stay with no visitors after baby was born and when we got home no one ever came over and instead incisted on us going to their house best part was we lived right across the street from them

Preach it!! I’m due in July and the only people who even know I’m pregnant is the people I only want around my kid so whenever I announce it publicly to the rest of the family in labor I feel like they gonna be mad but that’s on them.

This is my oldest,3 pregnancies never announced the labor/birth until after she was done. With the exception of the middle child who she gave birth to in the car on the way to the hospital. It boggles my mind the abuse she got for doing it her way🙄

I sent pics of my daughter to my dad like 3 hours later. only people that knew were grandma (she had my 2 oldest) and husbands aunt and uncle (they had our toddler and uncle is dad's boss)

I wouldn't be mad, but I would be hurt for sure. I'm really going to try not to be annoying or overbearing to my daughter or DIL so that they don't feel like they have to keep something so big from me.
