@jerryxzeng: The lawmaker asking if men can get pregnant is the perfect example of how patriarchy weaponizes trans*hobia to control women’s bodies. When womanhood gets reduced to reproduction, bodies become something to regulate instead of people to respect. This fuels a*ortion bans, IVF restrictions, and the policing of who counts as “real.” Let’s talk about it in today’s episode of Being A Better Man, Season 2, Episode 1 #grwm #fashion #style #feminism #patriarchy @COS @yhoneofficial @TherapyJeff

Although I agree with your point, I’d encourage you to review the debate clip again. Senator Hawley was actually arguing in favor of regulation around abortion drugs that ensure the safety of women/birth giving bodies. They debated about an abortion drug, mifepristone, which has evidence of being dangerous/harmful for womb holders. So even though the 5 min clip can make it seem like he was being transphobic, i think he was actually trying to create a scientific baseline in order to make his argument that this drug shouldn’t be used in abortion because of its dangers.
