their employer thats the job to pay them. I give tips if I get good service. if I have to stop them to get more soda and don't come back to the table to see if I need anything else. only come back with the check. no I don't leave one. and if the others with me leave one. I tell them don't leave it if they do am put it in my pocket

You know at that point I would show the manager this and if they didn’t do anything, I would post about it so here’s your tip don’t be rude and maybe you will actually get a tip and if your job is not paying you enough or you have to say something about your tip then you should definitely get a different job Tipping is optional Keep that in mind.

When my family goes out to eat at a restaurant I leave a top depending on how they serve my family. If they r not paying attention to what my family needs as they eat I don't leave a tip. If they try n can't cause the place is over full I leave a tip cause they can't always control how the place is.

It all depends on you. I go eat a restaurant and I go and everything and the weight. The servant turned to me. I would treat her too. She’s gonna be right. I would tape her, but there are people that they serve and they do not give you good service so why do we have to tip them? That is her job? Yes, I understand but the way it goes the way you treat a person and the way you treat them. You will get your tip, but if you are not a person to treat them right goes whenever you want to do not tell them ask them if they need something or if they want something else and you’re not willing to go that far why should we go that far to tip them? You should understand too. That is your job. Everybody has a job to do so if she doesn’t do it good how she expects to get tips that’s the way I see it.

Only servers or whoever did this job knows how hard this job is. I'm a server with over 20 years ecp. I love my job. And yes I'm expecting tip from customers. Now question to everyone else: if my boss pay me even minimum wage. how much you think your meal is gonna cost? Then you gonna complain about how expensive eat out! Tip system in USA worked for like forever and it's not gonna change any time soon. So consider what's better: live tip to your server or not being able to eat out because of the high cost of meals

the customer is right. if a servers wage plus tips don't add up to minimum wage, the employer is supposed to make up the difference

If they did their job, I don’t have a problem giving a tip. If I had to ask for refills on my drinks or asked to have the plates taken, or wait on my check then they aren’t doing their job.

The server job no need a license so I can understand that , but do any one knows being hair stylist required a licensed, after a year of 1500 hours plus cost you 20k to 30k in debt and you only can get pay minimum wage $10, $11 depending on the State,they’re need a tips to pay the cosmetology schools debt and their bills too have any one noticed that, my recommendation is do not entering this professional career,
