I would’ve went to the manager of the restaurant and I would’ve complained any server that wrote something like that on my receipt. Would get zero money from me and I would expect them to be fired. That’s an insult to the customer

I was embarrassed when I went to a restaurant with my family and they added a percentage of the total amount on my bill. The worst about it is that I was forced to pay that percentage added since I was using my card.

We can easily fix the tipping issue by increasing menu prices by 20%. But customers do not want to pay more. Anyone can do their own research and find out that good restaurant profit is 10%. If restaurants pay servers living wage it will decrease profits to break even at best meaning most will close. Secondly restaurants are required to pay taxes on customers tips as it is considered wages. When customers do not tip it is hurting the taxes of county in which the restaurant is located. Lastly, comments says that they only do pickup so they can avoid tipping. Pickup is a convenience that restaurants may provide; however hurts restaurants. The paper products cost the restaurant more as plates are paid for and can be used again. The cost of washing is far less than the paper products used. (Speaking of full service restaurants not quick service). Paper supply line of 3% is standard for a restaurant. Above 3% for a restaurant to provide a product they can never use again is hurtful to the top line let alone the bottom line.
