@iron.mike.en: Most people still think upright rows are great for side delts… but biomechanically, they’re not. Lateral raises done in the scapular plane place the deltoid exactly where it can produce the most force longer lever arm, more torque, cleaner tension on the lateral head. Upright rows keep the load close, reduce shoulder torque, and shift the work to traps and biceps long before the side delt is truly challenged.
