Haha Sri Lankan directors are so screwed. I worked on a film script when I was around 17 years old when I was in Sri Lanka for a major film studio that recently produced a movie. I was the one who transcribed their whole script to English because the director wrote the whole thing in Sinhala. He had no idea how to write in English. I sat in a dark studio for like 5 days straight…wrote and did everything he asked me to. Also advised them and took initiative to try to get onto Amazon Prime and Apple TV but I half way thru I had to leave the country cuz I was migrating to Canada. Fine. But I got paid nothing for all the hard work that they got out of me for months….and atleast expected them to get me credits for the work I have done. The film came out recently on these platforms, I got absolutely NOTHING. NO CREDIT AT ALL. Yeah these directors sicken me.
