Dude Amazon OWNS Whole Foods and vital farms. Idk why people are surprised. It’s a dirty company who’s only goal is to make money. They know people who want healthy food will spend more, then they gut the company and turn it into a profit farm.

I bought eggs that said “Soy free. Corn free. Pasture raised” and they were 10x better. I looked up how to tell if eggs were high in lecithin and it said if the yolk is flat it’s high in lecithin. If they’re high and round it’s better. So now I only buy soy/corn free🥰

Ok this scared me but they are actually pasture raised eggs the controversy is about what is in the feed that they give to the hens containing soy and corn . Personally that doesn’t bother me . I buy these eggs cuz I hate the farms where the animals are caged up

Chickens are not pasture animals. Like pigs, they are omnivores and were domesticated to convert agricultural waste/surplus. If you want pastured eggs, goose is your best bet. It is a herbivore like cows, and a true pasture animal.

Unless a company specifically says soy-free corn-free, they are likely using commercial feed which has both of these things. I had to go to great lengths as a small farmer to get feed without corn & soy. But the cool thing is that people who are allergic or sensitive to eggs can eat ours and they feel fine! I wouldn’t have known the difference in these details without having my own chickens and doing research on how we wanted to farm.

Its so sad once private equity buys out a company the integrity of it goes to hell. Theres no way they could ethically sell these eggs at a massive rate without ruining the process. In many ways im not shocked. We should support more farmers market type of way to buy food

ok genuinely i don’t get how people ca be so upset with the vital farms thing. they are NOT the only company telling half-truths. the entire egg industry is so loosely regulated that i would say 90% of brands are the same way as vital farms are. always just go local
