Dana was born in that hospital. She volunteered there in high school. She probaly gave birth to her kids there. She gave her entire life to that place.

There are a lot of experienced older nurses that are compassionate,wonderful people that just want to help. Sometimes their demeanor is different. Look closer. They really do have your back. Your greatest asset.

The best nurses are the ones who are going through it or been through it.You can never tell either because they seem to always have it together.That’s why they understand people so much.The human side of each patient that comes into their care.

Fact- these experienced nurses are the ones NOT being hired by hospitals bc they won’t pay them. Don’t fall for the scam that there is a nursing shortage. Nurse here- 33 years

You can be a Dana wherever you go 🤍 Be the one who makes a difference. The most difficult patients were always my favorite. Often, pain and suffering are projected onto us when we are simply trying to care for those who need us the most. Understanding that position is wisdom. You do matter. You do make a difference, even when it feels like rejection, even when you’re being undermined. Even when you work alongside bully nurses or physicians. Never let them define who you are.
