As soon as the first tooth erupts, you should START brushing. Cavities usually form when we don’t brush after night time bottles/feedings. You can use a baby tooth brush or a warm wash cloth. For babies and the young children, nighttime brushing is most important. ONLY water in bottles after brushing at night. Also if they ever need a multivitamin try a dissolvable tablet over a gummy. Gummy vitamins along with fruit snacks get stuck in between the teeth when they began touching around age 2, sometimes earlier, which can cause a lot of early cavities also. When you see those teeth touching, please begin flossing. Starting young gets them used to it and adapting good habits. Assist your kiddos with both brushing and flossing to ensure it’s getting done properly up to age 12 will save ours babies teeth and your money 🦷 ❤️. Good luck to all mommas⭐️!

You’re not supposed to be using that kind of toothpaste it’s to harsh I contacted my dentist and asked if breastfeeding cause cavities and they said no also I asked if crest toothpaste cavity protection is ok for a 1 year old they said obviously not. That toothpaste has so many different ingredients in but hey it’s your choice

Cavities is made by bacteria so if you have them an you kiss on her on the mouth or share food she can get that bacteria as well it’s not always sweet things combined with not brushing the teeth regularly

Yeah my almost 2 year old has cavities on his fronts and he’s a boobie barnacle.. i was so scared when I seen them appearing after giving him a little bit of sweets but I RARELY do cause I didn’t want him gaining cavities and now they’re here 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️and I have that finger brush too! And he hates when I brush them but I gotta do it to prevent anymore
