so maybe you should explain to people that bleach decomposes naturally by losing chlorine which is the part that kills bacteria. What that means is if it's past the date on the bottle you don't dilute it because it has already diluted itself naturally.

these comments make me realize no one reads the label on the bottle. you are supposed to dilute bleach everytime, in different dilution percentages, based on what you are using it for. what's the point of testing this in a way it wouldn't be used. that gives no valuable info

Bleach (sodium hypochlorite) is originally manufactured from salt water, and eventually decomposes back into salt water. If it still has a chlorine smell and feels slippery between your fingers, though, it should still be good.
