Everyone does deserve equal inheritance, we all have different abilities , allowing us to be present in different capacities. Don't forget , there are usually many decades of life before the care in the end of times. Sometimes a parent expresses favor to one child throughout life. Fairness in the end is equal . Period.

My mother had an insurance policy that was paid for by us and split equally 4 ways. I was her caregiver and had a separate policy where I was the sole beneficiary. This was only known between my mother and I.

This is my situation. BUT the will did split evenly; that’s what I did. I was angry, sat on funds for a month. Then realized legal is legal. I didn’t want to be a thief. I stuck by the legal words and bit my tongue. My sister walks always with a check and doesn’t contact any family member again. I have the peace of mind to know I did what was right.
