Just wanna say found your TikTok from just searching and you might be the answer to my son’s problems. Not sure but your daughter sounds a lot like my son who’s 7 months old and all we know is he’s likely aspirating per feeding therapist and he has a dairy allergy that’s been resolved.

Get genetic testing done!!! My daughter also is pneumonia prone and she has a duplication! Which has helped with all of her other care!

If she’s aspirating .. why would they not give her an NG or G tube? My son’s symptoms to a T were the same as what you’re describing. They sent him home with a feeding tube & it was a night & day difference!

Feels like my journey. Took me years to get all my diagnoses. Loads of doctors that would actually take me seriously. My mom finally telling me stuff they found when I was a toddler and hereditary things she had that would’ve helped me in the beginning. Now, I’m just fighting the pharmacy to keep my prescription in stock. 3 times since October they haven’t had it in stock or the full amount in stock.

Does she have Laryngomalacia? My guy has that, had a laryngeal cleft and has Tracheomalacia. He has surgery but still aspirates, I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t had pneumonia, just has some irritation/ inflammation in his lungs.

My son didn't have the obvious signs of laryngomalacia but was aspirating severely. He ended up with a feeding tube because of the aspirating and pneumonia. ENT kept telling us it wasn't an airway issue but ENT number 3 did an exploratory scope under anesthesia and discovered that he had both laryngomalacia and a laryngeal cleft! Once both were surgically repaired he stopped aspirating! He also has asthma and the inhalers did help too. He had the sweat tests for cystic fibrosis which were inconclusive so we did genetic testing and hmfound out he has Sotos Syndrome, Alpha1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, and FLG related asthma. Don't stop fighting for answers!

if she's silently aspirating that will cause the phenumonia (been thru it with my daughter)

my son was exactly like this. even had a life or death situation with aspiration pneumonia that caused septic shock. he git diagnosed at 9 months a severe asthmatic. he’s 8 now & has pretty much grown out of it i guess. those first 3 years he was at doctor darn near every other week. he had the same surgery as well. basically, spring/summer i have to keep an eye on him & keep an inhaler & neb treatments on hand.

My daughter had similar symptoms. She was not getting pneumonia but was having low oxygen with every viral illness. Was in the hospital 3x before she was 18mo. She always sounded “gurgely”. At 21 month we started an inhaled steroid and it has been life changing. I hope you find all the answers for your sweet girl!
