ive been sharing my poetry online for years and inspired my friends to keep writing, my mom did the same thing throughout the 90s and 2000s and it landed her a job in journalism. quality is subjective (although i also hate rupi kaur type poetry) and a lot of people that are seriously posting poetry online are mainly looking for feedback to improve or just finding an outlet for their feelings which is also ok. i think it’s not that big of a deal and it can be a good starting point if you want a career in writing!

It’s giving when I used to send out my Snapchat streaks with an “inspirational”quote. I remember vividly one of them was Hakuna Matata. I get that in my memories every year and I die a little bit inside
