December of 2019 I took my 8 year old sister in after finding out my mom was using again. I was 20, newly pregnant, working a job that barely paid the bills but I knew in my heart that’s what needed to be done. I kept telling myself every thing would work out, I done everything I could to make things work for us. & I won’t say that it was easy because it absolutely wasn’t but it was so worth it. My sister has been with me for 6 years now & I have no regrets. I hope everything works out for you and your family!

In 2018 I was 18, senior in high school & 10 weeks pregnant. My parents were sent to prison and I was left raising my 3 siblings (9,5,&3). It’s been 8 years. They’re still home with me even tho mom is doing better. They’re now 17, 13 & 11. My baby I was pregnant with is now 7 and I had another baby whole almost 2 along the way. Jesus provides. That’s the only way. Have faith in him and just hold on to what you know is best for you. It’s not easy. But it’s worth it.

As someone with Guardianship of two nieces and a nephew please feel free to reach out if you need anything EVEN if just a chat or a hot meal you dont have to share. I am a single mom of five kiddos (3 are guardianship kiddos). Always remember you are enough kids really really just want love, stability and presence ❤️They truly do not care about the latest the greatest. If you have love, basic needs met and time love him hard and keep him close

Prayers for you and your brother! He’s lucky to have a big sister like you! I’m currently 25 raising three of my siblings with them being 16, 10, & 9.
