A 38 year old Virginia daycare worker is facing multiple charges after police say two 3 year old girls reported being inappropriately touched while they were attending a daycare facility in Manassas. Joseph Matthew Brown was employed at Children of America on Liberia Avenue, where the alleged incidents reportedly occurred between June 2025 and April 2026. According to Prince William County police, investigators determined that Brown allegedly inappropriately touched two 3 year old girls while they were in the care of the daycare. Police said no physical injuries were reported. The investigation reportedly began after the two young girls told their parents what had happened. Their parents then contacted authorities, leading detectives to investigate the allegations. Brown was arrested after detectives concluded their investigation and obtained criminal charges. He was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery and is being held without bond pending further court proceedings. The case has also raised questions about the daycare’s previous regulatory history. WJLA reported that state records showed the facility had received multiple violations during inspections in previous years, including several more serious incidents involving staff handling children. Those earlier incidents occurred before the allegations involving Brown and are separate from the current criminal case. Authorities are asking anyone who may have additional information about the allegations involving Brown to contact Prince William County police. The allegations against Brown have not been proven in court. The case remains pending.
