It’s about crying in a hospital bed alone wondering if I would ever be able to carry my daughter again It’s about my family showing up day after day to support me in any way they new how It’s about the feeling of hopelessness and then the sense of peace that only Jesus brings It’s the gift of a husband who watched his wife start slipping away in front of his eyes but never for a second let her forget how fiercely loved and adored she was It’s the friends who kept me in the loop with the outside world so my hospital bubble didn’t consume me It’s especially about the people who will never get out of their wheelchair like I did. The ones who don’t get a miracle recovery like mine. The ones who would do anything to have the ability to run a marathon.
