Put a uniform in a packed bag in your car and ready to go so you can go out shopping and go out with friends. You get the call. You just go to the airport and you change there and you’re ready to go. As soon as you do this for a few times it’ll become natural and you won’t have that anxiety.

I’m glad the Luv Boat changed it to 7-12 hour shifts, depending on the type of reserve you have. 24!hours is so stressful. 😳

I’m so glad our reserve days are only 12 hours because I could not with the 24 hour reserve. At the end of 12 hours I can relax and do whatever

I bid for standby & request for rls to rpt if I have things to get done. Check on day of ops where you are on the list for the day if you just want to get small tasks done or just go spend time with your loved ones :)

Have all your things packed and ready, if you go anywhere, take everything with you in the car so you can get dressed/ready in the car otw to the airport 😭 that’s what i do just in case they call that day and I’m out

I’ve done a straight reserve and had the same anxiety, even though mine was only for 12 hrs. I still think the A-days are overall soooooo much better.
